Born and raised in California,

 I grew up on

 a 250 acre horse ranch in undeveloped 

Western Malibu, California.

From my childhood I have an innate connection to the land and wilderness.  Our remote ranch was completely surrounded  by the Santa Monica Mountain National Recreation Area, a 156,000 acre preserved area outside of  Los Angeles California. 

 The rugged mountains and Pacific Ocean were my earliest imprint. 

My strongest artistic influence  as a child  was playing inside Chumash caves with  bright colorful paintings and spending hours at home copying them.

 I started painting in childhood and never stopped, then attended art schools in the U.S and abroad.

The ranch where I grew up is now entirely preserved as the 

Malibu Nature Preserve,

by the Nature Trust of the Santa Monica Mountains.

 I paint oil on canvas  in 

Coastal California based on the California Impressionist

 historical traditions.

My paintings are colorful  landscapes of  Natural Scenes, Open Spaces, Land Trusts and Nature Preserves.

They  celebrate the importance of Nature and Beauty to restore the human spirit. 

My paintings are found in Cancer Centers, Hospitals,  and corporate collections, offering viewers a connection to nature and  moments of peace.

I'm inspired by the Outdoors and California golden light.

From a young age, I have been passionate about art that speaks to the importance of the restorative quality of being in nature.

Today many of my paintings are inspired by, 

and painted to benefit, open space.  

I believe that art should evoke feelings and provoke thoughts. My work often reflects the beauty of nature and the human experience, aiming to inspire others through vibrant colors and creative insights.
